Synopsis:
For mature readers only
Knotts is an autobiographical comic that focusses on my relationship with my brother and my parents, and more prominently on my experiences at a cruel and unusual boarding school.
this is an exerpt from the foreward:

It is here that it begins. Thats it, the story of my childhood begins here. My Life, school, family, animals, cruelty, children, aftershock, numbness.

I dont apologise for anything i say but I feel that i need to say a few things before launching into this epic. I can call this an autobiography but the truth of the matter is that it is first and foremost a story, a story that whilst its true to say, is mostly true as far as my recollection goes, is one which is also subjective and which I freely admit takes liberties with character traits, with perception, with chronology, and sometimes, therefore with veracity.

That isnt to say that this is a made up tissue of half truths and subjective opinion, because most of it I remember, but we paint our histories and we edit ourselves to be sinners or saints, I was neither, i could be a little wanker but i also could feel pain, i could also be manipulative, but I could also be truthful and innocent. In the end we are all products of our upbringing and the choices we make, I tried to make the best choices i could but mostly I was leaf blowing in the wind. My choices were often boiled down to how much i chose to behave, how small to make myself, how best to conform.
