Synopsis:
1891: The King of Mercy City is dead. The enlightened age promised before the bloody revolution has not happened, and the new Governor, Mazarin Howell, in his madness, has ordered a hundred women be imprisoned and executed on suspicion of the witchcraft he blames for society\\\'s ills.

From out of hiding comes an ex-prince, his female bodyguard and a monk with a dark past, whose paths cross with a love-struck bare-knuckle boxer, a police officer with a penchant for blackmail, a gangster with a developing conscience and a mysterious foreign soldier.

Endeavouring to stop the execution, they discover that this is just the beginning of Howell\'s plans for the city and its people.

And no mercy will be shown.
