Synopsis:
The story is set in a small town in Southern California named Cayce, where the strange and unusual has become the norm. A young girl named Rose Thornton moves into town with her dad, like most kids she’s worried about fitting in, making friends, and homework. However, unlike most she’s hiding a major secret. Rose is a werewolf but the funny is in Cayce she’s not the strangest girl at school. She makes friends with a young Native American boy, Daniel, who is able to talk to animals; Preston, the neighborhood rich kid who is a whiz at computers; Persephone, a popular girl inhabited by the spirit of a bloodthirsty Egyptian Princess; and Thanh who is half vampire. Together these kids discover the mysteries of Cayce and why they have been placed together in a special homeroom in their normal high school.
