Hello folks, I wanted to show you my new webcomic Sandra and Woo. That is, it is written by me, but drawn by the very talented artist Powree. The following strip, the sixth one, was put online just an hour ago:

Sandra and Woo gets updated twice per week, every Monday and Thursday. Here is a short summary of its content from the About page on the website:

Quote:
Sandra and Woo is a webcomic about the adventures of the girl Sandra and her pet raccoon Woo. Its writing and style are influenced by Bill Watterson's legendary comic strip Calvin and Hobbes, but Sandra and Woo shall also offer many unique features, like Woo's trips to the nearby forest to meet his furry friends. Moreover, single strips or even small storylines will center on the minor characters, who are often disregarded in other comic strips. While most strips are just supposed to be funny or whimsical, some stories will also deal with more serious issues like the destruction of the environment. Of course in the most funny way possible.

I was roped into a bit of an argument with some other members of this forum when I presented my ideas a few months ago, since another webcomic featuring a raccoon called Woo already existed. However, I had a good talk with the creator of Woo Tales and everything should be fine now. (For a start, we have included links to each other on our websites.)

Glad you got that one sorted. I'd like to follow this as I also love Calvin and Hobbes.

Hey, this looks like a fun comic. Thanks for sharing!

My one little gripe is that the text is not centered in the balloons, which I find a little distracting. For example, the first balloon in the sample comic you posted above.

Today, the 50th strip of Sandra and Woo has been put online. To celebrate the minor milestone, we have published our first strip in color:

Sandra and Woo defeated Ava’s Demon and is now in the final round of the
2013 Webcomic Tournament at ComicMix.
After beating Buttersafe, Axe Cop, Paranatural, Commander Kitty (one of my personal favorites), XKCD (!) and Ava’s Demon, our opponent in the last round is Bittersweet Candy Bowl. While many feel that the rules of the tournament have to change next year (me too), it would be a great honor for us to win this year.
